Yeah it had something that's kind of hard to define but was very, Destiny. I do think it's lost a lot of that in recent years - vaulting content did not help - and I'm hoping they'll find it again. Sadly I think it's gonna take a whole new game for it to manage it

Playing Renogades opening mission it certainly feels like a Destiny story with the Star Wars aesthetic woven in well without feeling gimmicky. Don't know how it'll hold up but if you're worried it's just a hollow collab they've made an effort to go further than that.

There was GMG sale on the whole D2 catalogue like a month or so back and I used to get edge of fate + renegades at a decent discount.

Even playing it the way I want to I don't think it's worth it. There's something fundamental in it's design that's removed it's prior magic imo.
