As well as work requirements providing a sliver of income, making just enough $$ to price you out of housing, food assistance, which now you can't afford. The cracks to fall through will only grow bigger. I've been in those cracks and it's tough to crawl out.

This hearing has surpassed 18 hours. Dems are still testifying and offering amendments.

A bit ago, Rep. Shontel Brown (D-Ohio) offered an amendment to strike an insane work req provision apparently in the bill: it lowers the age of a "dependent child" from 18 to 7 years old.
