I keep coming back to my original point. It's a reflection of many white women seem to view the world — as though it is happening to them, as victimizing them, even as they have had and continue to have privilege. Even after the incident, most of her problems are self-induced (e.g., the grenade).

If the show was about loss of culture, I'm not sure choosing a suburban white person who shops at "Sprouts" as the main character was the right call.

The show seems to be already building toward a "the white person was right all along" plot line. 🤷‍♂️

It's a tale of every POC character telling the white character why she is wrong and doing bad things that are harming people, and that white character ignoring them and doing whatever she wants anyway.
