The way my opera-studying ass was so into the Met/Academy of Music drama. They sprinkle in enough of it to have me invested and then there are characters entering and exiting. It reminds me of an Eddie Izzard bit when he talks about British movies. Then the music swells.

I don’t know how they do it, but nothing really happens, there’s always drama, and I cannot stop watching it. It’s so satisfying lol—but truly their energy is so delicious. The upcoming season may make me write fanfic about them.
