I think a little piece of my soul healed when I saw this tree at my UMC church today.

I’m a Pentecostal, Assemblies of God-raised pastor/missionary’s daughter, & this tree had me worshipping & praying in the Spirit in a way that I haven’t felt free to do in a long time during my deconstruction.

I really love fall and spooky season. Not necessarily because I like to be scared. I actually hate that part. But there is a coziness in that we only get in autumn when it is acceptable to think about death and all his friends.

My arm feels like it’s been shattered by Thor’s hammer and I’m completely exhausted but was unable to sleep.

Still better than getting hospitalized for flu or covid.
