It’s was so cute I couldn’t resist. I might’ve convinced my husband that was technically a Christmas decoration. 🤭

Normally, I get mad when my husband buys more merch from his work. But who can get mad about these cuties...

The A-maze-ing Android puzzle is a little harder than it looks.

The Woman in the Lake is starting to feel like a real book. 📖

Yes, its no longer Autumn but I just can't put away the cute pumpkin mug and halloween dish set from Le Creuset. 🎃☕️

When your idea of a relaxing evening involves murder, motives, and elimination.

Playing the Only Murders in the Building board game and feeling very seen as a mystery writer. 🎲🏢🕵🏻‍♀️

Why do I feel ripped off by Waterstones? 🤔

This is not a criticism of the cover, but it feels like a bait-and-switch on the store's part. 📖 🛒

The Woman in the Lake is off to my line editor. It’s 97,568 words, but I’m sure it’ll shrink during line edits.

One beta reader said:

“There is a metric ton of twists and turns… kept me guessing right up to the end.”

And that’s exactly what I hoped for when I wrote it.

I'm so close to the end of my self line edit of The Woman in the Lake. Right now, I'm taking a break before going back to chapter 57 of 61. Once I finish, I'll send the manuscript off to beta readers before sending it to my line editor.

I started off the new year writing a new long-ish 14,000-word murder mystery short story for my email list inspired by the Ophelia painting by John Everett Millais.

It has taken me 4,200-ish words to wake a character out of a concussion and back on track. So, it turns out the concussion I had when I was nine came in handy after all. Now, back to writing a new scene.

Today's mug…a stack of books inspired by Beauty and The Beast. I found it one day scrolling on the Disney Shop site. It’s too cute. 🥰 and the tea is China Jasmine by T2. ☕️ Obviously, I’m an addict at this stage.
