They did negotiate but they lost the healthcare fight for now. The fight continues.

Possible but far from certain. And I’m sure that those who depend on SNAP don’t want to have to rely on food banks. And that air traffic controllers don’t want to be stretched to the limit. And those working without pay want this to go on. It’s clear Rs don’t care about people but we keep fighting.

This is not the fight we should be having. Please keep your focus on the absolute corruption and subservience of the R’s.

Lose what exactly? Dems just had huge wins last Tuesday. I understand the frustration in not getting the healthcare subsidies restored, but it’s time to regroup and keep fighting. The shutdown highlighted just how far R’s will go to deny people healthcare and even food. That should be the message.

The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Republicans are not insulated from the political consequences. People, especially independents, clearly see them for what they are.

I disagree. Dems are not to blame. This shutdown has made it quite clear that Dems want to protect people’s healthcare and that Republicans, in order to hold on their seats, will go to the ends of the earth to deny people healthcare and even food.
