The cover of the 2024 Summer RiFLe the WRFL zine and program guide that contains a 6-page "Remembering Steve Albini" tribute. Reposted here on his birthday, July 22. Full pdf available to browse at www.wrfl.fm under Zine tab. The cover is a black ground with simple stylized graphics WRFL RiRLe in sans serif then fat boy purple cartoon letters. A big red heart held by a computer "stick man" has "FREE!" emblazoned in all caps pixelated dot matrix printer font. A green street cross sign puts it at the corner of 2024 and Summer. A weird blue star bleeds off the right page, an illustration of what is probably a koala sitting in a eucalyptus branch hides behind that an iridescent green chess peice -- a horsehead knight -- hides in the assemblage up left and what looks like a super candy apple red see through Tootsie Pop comes down at an angle top left. A soft illustration of a white mug spilling pink coffee and a straight photo cutour of an accordion creme colored light shade wiht a black starflower in a circle laid over top of that. Don't mind the graphic designer. Requiescat, Steve Albini.
