Every week this person asks a question, but I don’t know what is asked because they blocked me when Angry’s dog died and they asked him how soon Angry was going to replace the dog and got offended when I pointed out that it’s a horribly insensitive question to ask someone who just lost their kid!

At least this budget only lasts through Jan 30th so if they totally F us again then we shut it down and keep it shut down (I know, we have no spine), but it gives us some leverage at least, and gets people fed through the holidays. Maybe gets the Epstein stuff out too? And puts Rs on record on ACA.

Yes, but instead of lawsuits they need to be filled with bullets, THAT is the consequence for kidnapping, and that is what will make them learn.

This is always a terrible thing to ask someone, you’re literally saying “Yo, I know you just lost your kid but you gonna move on soon and replace them?” Why do people not realize that’s a horrible thing to say to someone?

Of course we are in a recession! All it takes is 2 consecutive quarters of negative GDP and we already 1 in Q1, which was supposed to be okay, so the fact that it wasn't tells us just how bad things are. Everyone already expected Q2 to be negative and now there is no doubt in anyone's mind.

Bless this women!! I haven’t seen a single story of civil asset forfeiture that didn’t make my blood boil and I can never figure out why this has gone unchallenged for decades now, this absolutely cannot be legal. Keep up the good fight and take these bastards down!

Contempt charges can be used be their bar associations to revoke their law licenses, so that would be VERY helpful. Let one or two of them lose their licenses and it’s going to be a lot harder to convince others to start pulling Trump’s BS for him in court.

Literally get into fights on the House and Senate floors. Raise so much hell that nothing gets done, they don’t have the votes to punish anyone, so let’s actually and literally fight!

I understand completely, wishful thinking often takes over for me too and I play the “well, what about this?????” hoping that some, ANYTHING, will work.

The courts don’t shut down completely, we’d still be able to get the time sensitive stuff taken care of, which all of our suits against the administration have been, so it would have had little impact on that.

It doesn't matter, the Republicans have enough votes to pass the CR without any Democrat votes, they ONLY needed Dems for the cloture vote and nothing else, from this point on the Dems have no power, so even if all of the Dems vote no it doesn't matter one bit, the CR passes.

Cloture is the hard one, the CR is easy once cloture passes, so technically yes, this is just cloture, but it means the CR will easily pass later.

They are thrilled with the federal job cuts and slashing the federal agencies though, in theory, but when you ask them about actual specifics they don't like it. Slash federal jobs? Yes! Slash 80,000 jobs at the VA? NO!!!! They really don't think things through, but that's not news to anyone.
