I am so sorry, and I understand, it took me days to start to understand what was happening. Their immune systems can be triggered by the blood even though they need it, it’s about finding the balance and getting the immunosuppressants to work is what I was told. 🫂

Increased significantly beyond 6 days, and that is precisely what I found. You and your dog have all of my sympathy and I hope so strongly that they can get her system back on track, it just unfortunately may take multiple days and treatments (3/3, not 2 my bad)

Are finally increasing but still aren’t normal. I write all this to say my advice is it can be a very long, scary, and expensive treatment and my advice is to listen to whatever the doctors say and keep your dog hospitalized as long as needed. The info they gave me noted that the survival rate (2/3)

I am so so sorry this happened to your dog, I read this just as I was giving Ruby her immunosuppressants for the night -she came home and is recovering now but it took 8 days in the ER, 4 blood transfusions, an IV infusion and we go back weekly for new bloodwork. Her red blood cells (1/2)
