Thats why we get this 'Testing Grounds' bullshit where they are just clumsily ramming AI into their games to see what the community embraces.

On the investment side, it seems like companies are buying in not because they see some benefit, but they dont want to be the only ones not embracing this new tech. Like Ubisoft doesn't even know what they want to do with AI, just that they need to do *something* to say they are 'current'.

If it were the computer from ST:TNG, I'd be exited about it, too. But its not. And im not going to pretend like it is.

The vast majority of pro-AI people I deal with all seem to fall short in the same area, and that is not realizing that AI is guessing at things, and not some wellspring of human and universal knowledge.
