i have had to resort to prostitution for survival more often than id like to admit. i do not like to do that work, but in reality sex work feels a lot more dignified and respectful than trying to make people see the value of my labour that they have deemed as worthless.

i’m just so tired of trying to get work in india because all people see is someone not deserving, but they also don’t have shame stealing labour.

upper caste people feel entitled to our bodies, our labour, our intellect. we can’t be even friends with them unless they can get benefits out of us.

and it is not new. people here told me that someone like me shouldn’t even try to ask for money. it is whatever they decide is right for me. one owner literally asked for money back, because they paid too much for a lower caste. exactly what they said.
