Idgaf about appealing to the masses. In order for them to appeal to the masses, they would have to abandon their entire reason for existence. They would have to turn into what wwe is. And that would destroy their entire mission statement and the entire reason why fans enjoy them.

I think that's definitely something that some people don't get about the aew fanbase. I've heard some say things like "Don't you want aew to be as big as wwe?" when talking about changing to appeal to casuals. Ummm no. I want them to continue to be the counterculture alternative to the mainstream.
