I may have had missed something because EPUB doesn't upload for some reason on my google play books and I am not willing to go through another app so I was stuck with PDF. but God this a very good read.

despite him being very despicable and pathetic I am interested in what made samart like that. we get almost nothing in terms of his backstory compared to the first and the second story. touma and shima have background. ratna is very grounded. he has nothing. which I think is also the point.

it all circles back to control. and what he does to her when she's powered down despite feeling very dirty and bad is also sign that he just doesn't want her reaction. she's he's obsession and hobby and lover and the second she breaks is also the second he condemns himself to death.

samart, my dude, she touches you like that because you like it she has no personal preferences. you don't like the idea of androids being able to buy shit because you don't like the idea of robots being able to control anything. you don't like the idea of marinette being able to control anything.

ultimately for me his story is about control because he doesn't want her to say ever no to him and if she ever was able to say no to anything which is not a possibility he wouldn't listen. her inability to drop a conversation is her programming not personal quirk.

I see the crumbs thrown around about how she needs a lot of repairs. he has money. not a lot but he has and yet he's buying her lingerie?? he's putting her up on the pedestral and yet. he's so fucking deluded into thinking that she has any crumble of ability to consent in anything

samart's sweetheart was a lot more calm and yet very unsettling. he got to me through the first sentence because the misery. the low self-esteem. the contempt he holds for everyone and everything around him. the light in the end of the tunnel is supposed to feel good and yet it doesn't

ratna has the first row view of what robots shaped like women experience and she's making a point that she has nothing in common with mari to remind herself.

girl you were boasting that you know mari better than her owner ever will like a minute ago. also i think there is unease under all of her "robots are not human" because for all her experience she still gets tricked into thinking of mari as a woman.

ratna too antromorphizes mari. her reaction when she touches the wrong nerve, so to speak, in mari head and she twitches her leg. her story is a lot more refreshing but the ending was also a fucking killshot. like immediately went to delete the memory.

like. she's a lot more honest about what she wants and she's more connected to other people because she does fuck human girls even though she does slip into the mechanical checkup on them. interesting to see how she reminds herself that robots are not alive they are not she or he but it and yet

and then the ending - I don't even know. it got multiple meanings and I'm not smart enough to decode everything that could be glimpsed from story just in itself. the ratna refurb felt a little bit lighter despite very gruesome start about the implication of what wade was doing to mari mouse.

the psychosexual mindgames between touma and shima are absolutely chef kiss. the way touma is unapologetically an asshole. big slime ball. pathetic and bad. shima at the start was giving nothing and then came in there with the wrecking ball of "I did it because of *blank*! it's not my fault!".
