One option would be to withhold unanimous consent to force floor time to be used on cumbersome procedures.

There's not a great solution, they're in the minority, but making an effort to do anything goes a long way.

Speaking for myself I would trust Dem leaders more if they showed any fighting spirit. It doesn't have to be a gov't shutdown but act as if you care (e.g. don't vote for judges/nominees, use every procedural trick you have to make life difficult, behave like ::all this:: is an emergency).

The *youngest* person to vote for Reagan is currently ~60. The majority of Reagan voters are aging/aged out of the voter pool. Who is Newsom's post supposed to persuade?
