A small group aiming to increase the population of farmland birds in Oxfordshire through supplementary feeding, monitoring, bird ringing and farmer engagement.
Lots of hidden away parcels of farmland are currently waterlogged and supporting large numbers of waders, such as Snipe and Jack Snipe. Yesterday, at a water meadow site we monitor through the winter months, we caught and ringed 22 Snipe, a Jack Snipe and a female Sparrowhawk.
