had milkweed 3 yrs now and nothing
saw one monarch a few weeks ago and it headed to my milkweed…yay!
then voila…. caterpillars
first pic last week when i made them a sanctuary 😊
second today at top on mesh making a silk pad to hang from to start pupa stage

Queen Charolette Islands (Haida Gwaii) had the “Golden Spruce” until a horrible pos cut it down in 1997. 😢
as a teenager i used go to the islands yearly. it is a magical place and fantastic to visit.
we would venture to the Golden Spruce each visit
what a shame 😭
