Safe streets and homes 4 all! Auch bin ich Deutschlerner.
having their profits driven by membership fees probably has a virtuous cycle on their business. they don't care about sales per se, but whether customers are happy enough to re-up.

also you get stories like this which can only help endear them to the cost-conscious but walmart-eschewing consumer

also switzerland is great for a transit lover. high quality train and bus coverage sure (funnily enough i think the entire time there we experienced a single train delay, everything else was extremely punctual), but also funiculars and gondolas!

Jet lag is bad but switzerland is/was very awesome, maybe someday we'll even go to one of the non-german-speaking cantons. Apparently though we are 2/2 for going to europe right as a heat wave hits europe, i think we are some sort of cursed harbingers of warmth, es tut uns so leid.

Transit in Europe/Switzerland is just next level. A train car with a playground for kids!

had to go look up the berkeley zoning map to refresh my mind on the impacts, and had completely forgotten that there's a massive chunk of R-1 *right next* to NBB.

The guy I was responding to posted a screenshot of the Wikipedia article of the Constitution in response to a question about the references of slavery in the Declaration of Independence. I do not understand why some of you are having such a problem with such a simple correction.
