It never ceases to amaze me. My favorite of all time is Star Trek. I can't tell you how often I see someone leave a Star Trek fan group because they're upset it "got woke" or upset that a trans person is existing in their fandom. It makes me wonder what they think when watching episodes like these:

They are also standing firmly by their DE&I policies. They renamed some of their bath bombs (see link) which is a nice gesture to show solidarity but more importantly they have been and are continuing to monitor and improve their company diversity.

Reminder that being here sharing despite the despair and health/financial situation demonstrates just how resilient you are. Don't forget to give yourself the same compassion you would show a friend.

I run into this in the workplace all the time and have to push back on trainings that are only available in video form. People have different learning styles and if you want the information to be accessible to everyone you need to include text based versions as well.

I love to talk about libraries! They can have so many free resources beyond books:
- newspaper subscriptions
- audiobooks and movies
- museum tickets
- sewing machine and musical instrument rental
- online continuing education
- community event and class spaces
- a safe space to exist for free

Seriously appreciate you for listening and changing your perspective. I completely understand making jokes about it but yours did sting a bit. This post makes me know I'm in the right place because you didn't just double down and call people too sensitive. Thank you for that 😊
