I believe the negative feedback has spoken loud and clear that CBC made a mistake. There are no 2 sides to this issue.

Hey certainly didn’t have to, but chose to for two reasons. To be fair and balanced (unnecessary in my view) and to let him speak so the world can see how ridiculous he is.

I understand having O’Leary on. He showed himself to be completely ignorant and basically a traitor to our country.
Completely tone deaf.
Well done Ian, it’s hard to refute the entire onslaught of idiotic points.
February 24, 2025 at 3:15 AM
I thought Ian handled it pretty good considering there was a ton of pure BS to sift through even though O’Leary only spoke for 2 minutes.
K O’L is unbelievable, talking about opportunities…maybe for multimillionaires that’s it.
February 24, 2025 at 3:12 AM
You are on to something with these points, but I’d say you’ve listened to opinions and strayed from facts.
The truth is, that the corruption you have outlined has increased tenfold since January 20.
It was very predictable too and not at all hidden.

Trumps gutting of regulations will not help you unless you are wealthy already. Can we agree on that?
February 16, 2025 at 6:06 PM
It depends who is in government. When you put corporate leaders in charge(like 08 and today) you get industry friendly repealing of regulations. That has led to the most recent recessions. We are blindly heading there again.
You’re half right, why make the same mistakes again though?
February 16, 2025 at 6:05 PM
The American dream is under attack, those with the most will have it all before too long, the middle class is being completely gutted. Be careful.
February 16, 2025 at 5:59 PM
Be careful blindly trusting what billionaires tell you. They only want your money and your house, once it’s foreclosed.
February 16, 2025 at 5:57 PM
You’re not making sense man. If you put your money into the bank, regulations protect it. When Bush removed them, people lost their houses. Thousands of examples like the love canal and smaller local industrial accidents are now regulated…
February 16, 2025 at 5:56 PM
My view could be slanted I guess. I don’t own a large corporation or bank so I do see the value of regulation.
There are generally sick, broke or dead people behind every single regulation, you really should think about that.
Take care.
February 16, 2025 at 5:49 PM
Ok, just a wild coincidence I guess. Almost like regulations weren’t made to prevent real world problems.
Almost.
Have a nice day.
February 16, 2025 at 5:42 PM
Trump voters man, the fact that they didn’t see this coming is so ridiculous. Just want to slap them.
February 16, 2025 at 5:21 PM
One example. Aviation. Drastic cuts have led to 7 crashes in 3 weeks.
Bank deregulation led to the 2008 housing crisis, expect that again.
Consumer fraud protection gone, expect fraud.
These people were hired for a good reason in every single case.
February 16, 2025 at 5:18 PM
Once those 80% are gone you’ll realize why they were hired in the first place.
Honestly Americans who feel their country is the best, and then work to undermine it this way are just hard to understand.
Best of luck.
February 16, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Trump acts, that’s the problem. He doesn’t understand government, yet acts anyway.
February 16, 2025 at 5:02 PM
It had to be expected for sure.
February 14, 2025 at 2:18 PM
Hey I’m all for it. As a Leaf fan I thought it was appropriate. As a Canadian I loved it.
