#WheelOfTime S2 fan edit is DONE!
After a LONG hiatus, I finally knuckled down and finished it. 4h28m from a S2 length of 8h54m, it was a HELLUVA instructive exercise in understanding the structure of plot and character arcs, scenes, dialogs and even individual line and word choices.

So...S3 dedicated entire story arcs, actor casting and valuable screentime to Sammael and Melindhra, for what payoff exactly? And we give up Asmodean for that?
When we're struggling for time and the editing makes episodes feel like montages, not a wise choice.

Very good season finale for #WheelOfTime S3! Great way to conclude several arcs while leaving the story open to continue.
Definitely has some directing and editing issues (S3 fan edit incoming!), and certainly doesn't deliver the same punch as the books, but it's a "good for TV" closer.

Sigh, we're back to shot-reverse shot dialog and scenes that don't move plot or characters by much. Filler episode with micro-progress across many short scenes cutting between parties, I dislike this "slog" writing and editing.
I hope the rest of S3 is better

I decided to experiment by cutting the Rhuidean sequence in chronological order. It works rather well as a way to see the story unfold front to back and follow Rand's ancestors through time.

My first #WheelOfTime fan edit experiment for S3: I cut the Rhuidean sequence into chronological order so you can follow the events from start to end. It actually works well as a rewatch to mentally piece the story together. Let me know if you're interested and I'll share a link.

As #WheelOfTime S3 launches, this review of my S1&2 fan edits just came in. I LOVE hearing from folks watching the edit with friends.
It's a great way for new fans to get into the show before S3 without time for a full S1&2 watch. Also makes for great rewatch to see the story in a new way.

Well #WheelOfTime trailer looks like a BANGER! Fingers crossed it translates directly onto screen during the full season. Three massive plot lines should provide plenty of momentum pushing the story forward.
