the only thing stopping me from playing Alan Wake 2 was that i knew it was closely linked to Control and i didn't wanna jump straight in and miss the Control stuff, but now i'm excited to get to AW2.

cosmo canyon in FF7 rebirth reminded me of that scene so much. often in games, moments like that have zero story significance and are just there for pacing reasons but final fantasy knows how to have slow, beautiful moments where it's like you're watching the characters age and mature in real time

i loooved mysims on the wii when i was younger. i still remember all the names of the characters even though i played it for like one month when i was 6 years old. i'm a bit nervous that it won't be as good as i remember when i try the switch version 😅

it's likely because gearbox devs have no experience with unity because they use unreal. they probably put like 2 or 3 devs on the code and told them to figure it out which led to the entire game being destroyed

they retroactively fit the older 2D games before OoT into random spots on the timeline where they kinda made sense and with BOTW and TOTK they abandoned the timeline altogether but from OoT to SS, there isn't really a "timeline". they're just direct sequels and prequels that happen years later.

it was always there. TP has the spirit of link from OoT and MM along with literally the same skull kid and ganondorf. WW is a split bad ending created when link time traveled in OoT where ganondorf was unopposed and came back. SS is just a straight direct prequel to OoT, telling how it all started.
