In a perfect world, a remake can be close to 1:1 with new additions, all the content in the game from the beginning, and capture the essence of what makes the game so special and loved. I feel like most remakes do not fully get it or understand the crowd they're catering too. 💀💀💀

Spirit from the OG will not always translate to a remake + there's no guarantee the game, in question, will even be able to have all of the content the original game may have added. Its a valid mentality bc most remakes aren't treated with respect. No wonder some people will settle for remasters
Seriously, I can't stand the "stop remaking stuff" mentality, especially when it comes to video games.
Remake for modern platforms. Bring old to the new. Highlight stuff we missed like all the stuff locked to the PS1. There are SO MANY that don't get celebrated. Lunar: The Silver Star Saga. Xenogears. Even if they don't remake them, make them available.
