Well said! I was also raised Catholic and I agree with everything you said here. Organized religion is right up there with organized crime as far as I'm concerned and I live in Italy. The church is different over here though, but I still don't darken those doors much anymore.

And it's about time! Finally, the men that kill women in Italy will get life in prison. I don't know if it will help the situation, I hope so but I have doubts..., I'm at least hopeful now and proud to be Italian.

Save the Children is worse! It's an organization that often encourages young Italians to beg for contributions in city centers, in shopping centers, etc. Every time they approach me I tell them to look up the CEO of S. T. C. and his salary. He's filthy rich! Now, I don't see them much anymore.
