Word Wednesday: DADA. Dada, or Dadaism, was an early 20th Century art and literary movement. Dadaists embraced the ugly and strange in response to the logic and order of World War I, capitalism, and the artistic establishment. Graphic design was a major component, and artists utilized many clashing fonts to add chaos to their collaged imagery. Brightpoint Community College ARC Writing Center— @bccarc Post Designer— @worm_on_the_web Image Descriptions: In the upper right corner there is Marcel Duchamp’s Fountain, which is a repurposed urinal used as a readymade sculpture. Here's a design/illustration I made for my new job at my school. I am a tutor, but I get to create posts for their Instagram. I love being able to actually design and write for my job. It's nice doing something closer to what I want to ultimately go into.
