After the event I drafted "Cube where Urza's Saga would be Broken" by @glassblowings.bsky.social
I ended up in a super weird fusion between bounce and ramp? Deck had strong early game and powerful threats, but had a finite limit of resources that it approached quickly. But they were enough!

I ended up in a super weird fusion between bounce and ramp? Deck had strong early game and powerful threats, but had a finite limit of resources that it approached quickly. But they were enough!

My second draft of the day was the Companion Cube, by @dinrovahorror.mtgcu.be
I took an amulet early and ran with it. I think the deck was somewhat missing interaction and card selection, but if it wasn't under early pressure could really pop off. I do think it overperformed.

Day 2, top 64 draft! I drafted the Creatureless Cube, by @ollie.bostoncubeparty.com.
I really enjoyed trying to figure out how to draft my seat for this, but ultimately my deck was incoherent and so struggled to consistently execute it's gameplan.

My final draft for the day was Cascade Cube by Zennith.
I started this draft totally lost. But then the draft saved me, as I ended up probably the only black player in the pod and picked up everything the color had to offer. Deck turned out super consistent and quite strong.

This was my second time drafting the cube, and after my first draft ended in flames I was eager to redeem myself.

It was really neat to navigate the strain between the cool multicolor payoffs and the suboptimal fixing in this lower powered cube.
I ended up in a good seat to put together this super solid UR Wizards deck
