Merci pour ce partage. Pourriez-vous résumer pour les béotiens l'enjeu de cette réfutation?

The post is pure drivel. Despite (b/c of?) his fancy credentials, he is an ignoramus.
E.g.: "I happen to agree that a huge cost of climate catastrophism has been lack of attention to pressing environmental problems [...]. They 'affect the planet.' But they don’t have anything to do with climate."

if you want to see just how utterly insane the positions of some very well-known, widely-read and well-respected economists are, check out this blog post by John Cochrane about @dwallacewells.bsky.social’s piece: www.grumpy-economist.com/p/climate-tu...
Climate turning point
Three excellent essays last month point to a turning point in climate with, I think, a broad political ramification.

Dans quelques minutes, une pétition ouverte sur la plateforme de l'Assemblée nationale atteindra le seuil des 500 000 signatures. Les conséquences seront surtout symboliques, mais les symboles comptent en politique.

Development outcomes of India have been mediocre at best, as documented in Ashoka Mody’s 2023 book. State capacity, industrial
policy and forms of protectionism played a key role in all countries that successfully developed. Narrative on globalization => development is simplistic at best.

Your statement that 1 billion people have been brought out of abject poverty by econ. growth and globalization is a questionable narrative. If you exclude China, SE Asia, which resisted the rules of
globalization, picture is v different. See @jayatighosh.bsky.social at 2:50: bsky.app/profile/magg...
