This is Marie Curie, a physicist and chemist, and she made groundbreaking discoveries in radioactivity. Curie won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 and Chemistry in 1911. She was the first person (and only woman to this day!) to win Nobel Prizes in two different sciences.

The Great Pyramid of Giza originally featured smooth, polished limestone casing. This outer layer would have shone brilliantly in the sun, making the pyramid visible from great distances. However, the casing stones were eventually removed. Only a few can still be found at the base of the pyramid.

Blood Falls is (a) vividly red waterfall that seeps from Taylor Glacier in Antarctica, staining the surrounding ice and snow. Located in McMurdo Dry Valleys, which are among the coldest and driest regions on Earth; this makes the red flow particularly striking against the pristine, white landscape.
