I very much appreciate that I have reached an age or social status that , “I have to get home to water my pots”, is any acceptable reason for leaving anything.

I didn’t ask questions of my parents, okay, I did ask questions but not the important questions. I wish I had asked the hard questions to the people that were the most safe.

Yesterday, my day was filled with climbing up and down the side of a canyon while I planted trees in a clear cut site. I couldn’t have had a better day.
