Cyclist, hiker, runner, geek, make 'puters do stuff. Eternal fight against the rise of hyped 'AI' which of course doesn't exist.
Half expecting a 'crazy weird DM guy' who's DM'ed a picture of himself in *just* a Christmas jumper.

I find it strange that PM's seem to want to rely on unelected advisers and not their own elected by the people MP's?!?!

100%

Yep I'll leave this conversation right now as I find its very much like arguing with a right winger. Anti cycling, anti EV and no doubt pro Brexit.

But for your information I didn't post a link I posted a key date summary...

Cycling, no one is telling you to cycle, no one is going to make you cycle, you don;t need to buy a bike. Cycle lanes are an option for those that can and want to. Not for those that can't and don't want to.

If everyone cycled just think how nice your trip to Tesco's would be...

Sigh, this is like of arguing with the right wing Brexit brigade.

Here's the manifesto, I think its good and thats good enough for me.

End of new petrol/diesel sales: 2027
Phase-out of petrol/diesel use entirely: 2035
December 17, 2025 at 12:55 PM
I do, but to be perfectly honest I don't need to. The guy was a walking disaster and his views on the EU and support for Brexit abhorrent.
December 17, 2025 at 12:51 PM
All polls suggest Corbyn lost due to Brexit and personality, when 2019 policies were independently away from the party they had very broad appeal. 3/
December 17, 2025 at 12:39 PM
There are not banning petrol and diesel (sorry but this sounds like DM nonsense) but the sale of *new polluting cars I don't see any issue in that pollution kills and mainly the poorest in society. 2/

Just not true, look at cycling in London its exploding due to proper cycle lanes. Cycling in the EU is massive. It's the Reform voters that don't like cyclists and cycling and so of no interest. The economic benefit of more cycling/walking is astronomical.

The Lib Dems have always been a bit of a question mark — it’s never really clear whether they’re positioning themselves on the right, the left, or the centre and after their disastrous coalition very few trust them.
December 17, 2025 at 12:14 PM
Interesting take. Their transport policy clearly works with younger, more active generations, and there’s little in it that’s hard to disagree with. Prioritising cycling and cutting emissions is exactly right. Corbyn didn’t lose in 2019 because of the policies — plenty of analysis shows it was him
December 17, 2025 at 12:10 PM
We will have to agree to disagree.

But from my standpoint, the tories are dead, Labour has alienated most of the population one way or another and will get destroyed at the next election. The Libs are 🙄. So that leaves Reform and the Greens.
December 17, 2025 at 11:59 AM
As are you...

We've had the cult of Corbyn, the cult of Boris, now the cult of Farage. If you think the Greens are a cult 🤷🏻‍♂️ then they aren't on their own.
December 17, 2025 at 11:57 AM
and I do believe they can and will do. Their membership is nearly the same as Labours. People have had enough with the greens getting the disaffected Labour/Libs/Tory voters who won't vote for Farage/Starmer/Badenoch
December 17, 2025 at 11:52 AM
Well they are starting to work for me. A life long Labour voter I will be voting Green from now on. After 14 years of chaos + 1 year of the basically the same. I can't and will not continue with the two party nonsense.
December 17, 2025 at 11:48 AM
I wish you would sort yourselves out, because at the moment the world has a USA problem.
December 17, 2025 at 11:16 AM
To the average Reform supporter, they probably have — though most wouldn’t recognise Reform’s history even if it were spelled out for them.
December 17, 2025 at 10:55 AM
Nonsense Reform has come from nowhere to be the current leading party. If this bunch of morons can do it, why can't the greens?

The media in this country are an absolute disgrace. For years we were told the Russian military was underfunded, badly equipped, and ineffective. Now, suddenly, they’ve got “space” weapons and super-soldiers and we’re told our kids must defend the homeland. Cynical fear-mongering.
December 16, 2025 at 8:14 AM
This makes me laugh. For 4 years we’ve been told how hopeless the Russian army is. Now all of a sudden they have ‘space’ weapons and ‘super’ soldiers. Cynical fear mongering.
