On this day in 2022, Assemblymember @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social joined the @sbworkersunited.org picket line at the NYC Roastery. Workers won the demands of that strike and are now fighting for a contract. Lucky for us, in just a few he will be our mayor fighting alongside us!

The contract addresses critical demands, including big pay raises (up to a 19% increase) for the lowest-paid employees, consistent scheduling, and new workplace protections & benefits for all members.

Last week during bargaining, @TabletopWU presented their employer with this solidarity letter signed by 20+ NYC elected officials demanding that the company treat workers with respect during bargaining.
