If Fred Trump was alive, he would tell Donald that all that he did to make it was because he was a tough act to follow; now that he outdid his father by making it to the presidency, there is nothing else to prove but to bring this country together and help the poor so the rich can stay rich.

In the movie, “Gabriel Over the White House,” a corrupt president undergoes a miraculous transformation after a near fatal accident to become an divine- inspired leader who solves the nations problems. Maybe it could happen in reality with a change of personality?

When Donald came into his father’s business, he wasn’t into the details of construction but his bottom line was expediency in getting the job finished so the rents would come in; government doesn’t work that way and the details count; just raising the tariffs to fix the economy isn’t like expediency

Donald thinks that he is King Midas and has that “golden touch.” It was said of him that he would throw everything against the wall and go with what stuck and he kept doing it even when he had failure after failure. Failing wasn’t the problem but not accepting it is as failure is delusional.

Donald is no different then when he worked for his father and you found fault with him; if he asked you to do extra work without getting paid and you complained to his father who reprimanded him and you got paid, Donald would demean you and make sure you never wanted to work for his father again.

The Know Nothing Party preceded the GOP in the 1850’s and they were against the Irish and Italian immigrants from migrating into our country. History repeats itself and only the names and places have changed; the good news is that party didn’t last very long.

When the young Donald was representing his father on one of the jobs, he went up and down the ladders with ease; who would have thought that he had bone spurs that kept him out of the Vietnam war. Lies about one’s health is all part of The Donald’s life and is nothing new!

When the young Donald came into the business, he was always hiding the facts from his father; when the subcontractors put the facts on the table, Donald was put in his place but never punished. His father felt that as he learned the business, he would be easier to deal with and how wrong he was!

In his early 20’s when Donald came into his father’s business, he was there to learn the nuts and bolts of the construction industry and reading the blueprints. He was so bored with going over the details at the job meetings in the trailer that if we had a chair for him, he would probably doze off.

We are “down the rabbit hole” where up is down and down is up; the sad part of it is that we got a taste of that by The Donald in 2016 and after the show closed in four years, we brought it back with a new cast much worse than before. To quote Barnum, “There’s a sucker born every minute!”

If the wealthy do not share some of their wealth with the poor, history shows that they will not have their wealth at all. Republican Jack Kemp realized this with his “enterprise zones” where when the rich invest in poverty zones, they get big tax breaks and that is capitalism at its best.

When watching the Netflix series, “Ozark,” I saw how organized crime used the building business and gambling casinos to launder money. I wonder if the series was inspired by The Donald, and now that he is president, we have a government by the mob doing illegal things and getting away with it?

When working for his father and Donald came in the business, he was supposed to learn the nuts and bolts of construction and chose to hang his hat on expediency; the sooner the building is finished the rents come in. Protecting the environment doesn’t make him richer but drilling does.

You may be right about Fred Trump outside of his business dealings but as a subcontractor, I alway got a good price for my work and always got paid. I never could stand Donald and took pleasure in Fred putting him in his place every time I complained to him about his son’s ridiculous behavior.

Fred Trump told his subcontractors that Donald was a bully who not only beat kids up but tortured them; he had no choice but to send him to military school and that made a man out of him, and once he learns the business, we could work with him. Fred was wrong as once a sadist alway a sadist.

Born in 1932 when Hoover was president and hope to be around when we get a modern day FDR! I stopped working for Fred Trump when Donald came in the business so the less I see him, the better I feel.

I lived through the Great Depression and my parents never looked at FDR as a socialist but more like a savior who used the government to have programs to turn things around. FDR was more of a pragmatist who believed government and capitalism can work together for the good of the country.

Trump’s endorsement is the kiss of death for Cuomo. As the country moves to the Right and people are hurting, the Left gains power. The best of times was when the center of both parties ruled. “Where have you gone John McCain and Bill Clinton, a national turns it’s lonely eyes to you?”

Donald wasn’t very happy when working for his father and had to do business the straight and narrow way and then he met Roy Cohn who had the the schemes and represented the mob. Cohn taught Donald the ropes and he ventured out to start his own crime family where his territory became the entire USA.
