I am married to a swell guy, and we are dads to orphaned cats.

I like a little of this, and a little of that...
Cannabis, Movies, Stare at Clouds. ++++

I may look grumpy, but I'm smiling.
Has made me the loneliest I could ever feel at this point in my life.

It was discovered he had a clot, it traveled to the bottom of the spine. His back legs where 16 degrees cooler than the front, and we would have to say goodbye.
I held Potato, and he left quietly.

Potato was really helping me with the loss of my friend.

The simple loss of this cat?

This gentle cat, only using his front legs to pull himself into the litter closet.
It broke my heart as he meowed loudly into the night.

I was so thankful the animal hospital was open 24 hours in my neighbourhood. They too heard him.

I called and they were set up for our arrival within 10 minutes.

He quickly curled onto my pillow, and then began panting heavily.
Then yowling once again.

I looked at my husband who was in between reality and sleep, and said his back legs were not working. I touched his legs softly.
Making Potato, crawl off the bed.

I said Potato!

And pulled him off the ground, and onto the bed.
He was so thankful, so happy. This was the time he would jump up on the bed, take over my pillow, and sleep on my head.
It was 1:30am.
I watched him pulled himself, his back legs dragging behind him.

Under the light of the moon. Potato was wide eyed, just looking up.

He had pulled off our blankets, and duvet, I thought it was just his claw stuck onto the fabric.
He let me unclip his cat nail from the fabric.
He didn't resist.
He didn't stop Yowling.

By this time, the hubby put on the lights.

The other night, hubby and I awoke with the saddest meows. Calling into the dark, waking us from a deep sleep.
I focused and sat up, looking down to the side of the bed.
Looking up from just under the bed was Potato, the lovely gentle ginger cat.
He just wouldn't stop calling into the dark.
