Think about the people around you.
Think about the gifts they give you.
Think about the messages they send you.
Think about the drinks you share, the food they cook for you, the flowers.
One day these will be memories.
You won't be able to make new ones.
Thank them while you can. It costs nothing.

I haven't written anything in the past 2 months. I was prepping for and been on a trip to Japan. It was a break from stress, feeling guilty to write while not working and to work while not writing and so many other stupid anxious thoughts.

While working on a side project, I thought about the figure of the seamstress in literature. If you're interested to read some of the works that involve a related problem, here's a list (just what I know about, not everything ever published):

I'm not in Japan to admire Sakura season, but we have some lovely plums, sour cherries and apples blossoming at this time of the yar. #spring #japansky #先ら #かなみ

Part 1: Bristol adopted Greenwich meridian time on 14 September 1852, 5 years after it was established for the use of train schedules. Stubborn as they are, they still show Bristol time on their Exchange clock. London is 10 minutes ahead. #timezones #bristol #trains #historysky

Happy #worldbookday! I have recently decided to dive into witchcraft books. Currently reading this beastly work on witch trials through the ages. Witchcraft A History in 13 Trials by Marion Gibson

If you like dragons, knights and non-Tolkien elves, I recommend the Cronache del Mondo Emerso (Wars of the Emerged World) by Licia Troisi. Also, magic, friendship, family and more! #fantasy #dragons #knights #toread #italianliterature #libri

I am starting to think my worldbuilding suffers from a lack of foodstuff. This is a duckling banana ice cream I ate a day ago. I must think of foods for my world. More than just a few mentions. Ehhh #banana #icecream #writing #writingadvice

At the day of the US elections, my Bob Ross card of the day was quite on point.
"That's a crooked tree. We'll send him to Washington." Couldn't have said it better myself. #usa #elections #bobross #goodluck

I can claim that the bluesky algorithm is live, because my 'discover' feed is successfully full of writing and book content. It is no longer the same as my friend's feed.

Hey, everyone! I got some new followers, so here's another post to help you get to know me: I'm an aspiring author with one failed self-published work from a decade ago when I was 20ish, and one trilogy on the way. I post mostly about things I research for my new story. Cheers!

In August 1951, in the small French city of Pont-Saint-Esprit, long-term bread baker Roch Briand created a deadly epidemic. Through fungus-infected bread, he caused (indirectly) severe hallucinations to 300. There were 5 casualties. That's it for today's random research rabbit hole.
