We got a new recliner last night and the tabby cat has angrily claimed it as her own. The brain damaged calico is still terrified and will be for a week.

You know who else threatened and banned all opposition? Nazis.

Donald Trump is a literal fucking fascist. And so is his son.

My eighth book of the year was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It’s weird rereading these as an adult. I want to scream at the kids to talk to a competent adult. These are definitely children’s books. Take comfort where you can right now, people. #booksky

My seventh book of the year has been my best so far. The Wedding People by Alison Espach is a top five ever read for me. I felt permission to be human among so many other feelings. #booksky

My sixth read of the year was Wondering Stars by Tommy Orange. It is both a prequel and a sequel to There There and definitely worth picking up. #booksky

Fifth read of the year came just in time for a ceasefire. This is one you can’t miss. The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine by Rashid Khalidi does read like a textbook, so be ready to study. #booksky

Fourth read of the year was a nice, mystical fairy tale. The Wood at Midwinter by Susanna Clarke was a quick treat. I’m so grateful for two friends who brought this book to me. #booksky

Third read of the year was an old childhood comfort read. I struggle with posting about this one for probably obvious reasons, but I reread it and I’ll probably reread the whole series this year. Its gonna be a tough year. I’ll take comfort where I can find it. #booksky

Second read of the year was There There by Tommy Orange. This was definitely a five star read for me. #booksky

First book of the year was Sabbath as Resistance by Walter Brueggemann. This year is going to be all about rest and protecting my peace. #booksky

If it becomes Meta, DO NOT rejoin. It will not be safe. Check any new terms and conditions carefully. And most importantly, know this was engineered and Trump is not a savior of anything.
