A narcissist's comfort zone is chaos and drama. They create chaos and drama, because they want their supply to feel that exact thing (puppeteer). Being in control of another's emotions gives them the high, they're looking for. Don't react. Don't give them their drug of choice.

Narcissists don't know how to self-sooth. They don't have a way of calming their emotions. The only thing that calms them is getting rid of those emotions. They'll do this by raging at their target. Getting rid of those angry emotions. To the narc, the target is responsible. Not the target's fault.

I secretly loved the silent treatment. It meant that my mother shut the hell up. That was a gift. It was definitely a silent treat.
