Rating: ★★★½ (3.5/5)

The film creates a tense, immersive atmosphere, supported by strong performances and an unsettling tone. However, its impact is lessened by a narrative that feels too familiar, preventing it from fully standing out. Despite this, it remains a solid watch for horror fans.

A bold, atmospheric take on possession horror, Luz excels in mood, sound, and visual style. Its abstract narrative and slow pacing may deter some, but it's a hypnotic experience for genre fans and lovers of surreal, avant-garde cinema. A strong 4 out of 5 stars for its eerie, experimental vision.

A witty, found footage-style horror with a clever premise. The middle drags a bit but compensates with sharp humor, entertaining character dynamics, and a bloody, stylish finale—a standout in low-budget horror. 3.5/5 stars.

This found footage psychological thriller explores ambition, delusion, and the dangers of obsession. The result is an unsettling film showcasing the extremes one may go to for validation, with a genuinely creepy performance from the lead. 4/5 stars.

I liked this adaptation of Jackson's feminist gothic fairy tale more than I expected to! The main characters were each enchantingly deranged in their own special ways. Plus, I love all things Crispin Glover. 4/5 stars.

I was expecting a vapid yet fun teen slasher with a pandemic backdrop, but it was also a clever reckoning of COVID's effects on society. 3/5 stars.
