Canadian. Hopeful. Shelves filled with books on birds, pollinators, permaculture. Love to post good news.
We, the humans, did have some help. This is Chloe. She’s been gone for a couple of years but they were best buds. I know you appreciate a happy lab. 😊

Hannah turns 14 at Christmas, we’ve had her since she was 1. She had fear agression and although she’s always loved kids, she wasn’t always a fan of other adults and animals.

She's one of the best dogs we’ve had. Loves everyone now, knows how to make friends, ride or die. Rescues are the best.

The gov’t request for a 15% reduction by dept was for the purpose of dept review, it wasn’t a set in stone requirement. I really wish media would stop with the clickbait.

This is a section of the attached article.

I watched The Thursday Murder Club movie last night, it’s soooo good if you’re looking for a movie night this weekend.

For me it’s weight first and then type/colour. I use cloth storage bags with see thru windows because they keep the dust out and I can see at a glance what I have. They really stack well. I’m not going to admit to how many I have 🫣

If your garden isn’t big, butterfly milkweed is really nice as a border - not quite as tall as the others.

This has been the PM’s message all along. Hoping they're able to reach an agreement on consultation parameters that will apply to every gov’t project moving forward.

Thinking of newspaper, lighters, toast and Brad & Janet this morning. So much fun!

My girl made a burrow under the couch cushions to feel safe. We've been together 12+ years now and she's come a long way ❤️

I've read so many wonderful books, it's hard to pick just 20. There is one book that I read in my teens that made me aware of the world outside of my small, comfortable bubble.

I haven't read it in years and I don't know how it translates to today but it's impact is still with me.

First pic of front garden before doing any work in the spring. Forsythias are pruned after flowering. Second pic of 25 yr old Saskatoon berry bushes in backyard. Rarely below 10' tall.

Nothing fancy but gardens thrive on neglect, the birds love the berries and I have a robust worm population. 🙂
