Today is thst darkest of anniversaries, 13 years since I took a call from the desk asking me to check out a report that Gary Speed, the football hero, my friend, was dead. I’ll never forget that morning.
My thoughts are with those closest to him on this awful anniversary.

Gary Speed passed away 13 years ago today.
I had no connection to him through the club I support but his death is one that I pause for thought over every year on the anniversary. It’s so easy to brush mental health under the carpet and “get on with it” I do it myself but I shouldn’t.
