IFTAS is constantly coddling a clique of abusers who encourage death threats and doxxing, people who make Queer Fedi so miserable we have a mental health crisis among our administrators. Everyone has learned to look the other way. It's not Trust and Safety, it's Threats and Slander.
Mastodon’s biggest authority on racism is a willful South African colonizer whose cartoonesque worldview compels faer to constantly call PoC racists, to call disabled people ableists, who used faer influence to drive a Fediverse developer into abandoning their project because they reposted the wrong trans woman once, who called anti-Zionists Jews “antisemites” and asked for the deplatforming of their journalism, who shared a neo-nazi’s calls for mass reporting under false pretenses the crowdfunding links of trans women because Eris’ was one of the links, who banned a disabled queer person who reclaimed the word “Gimp” to talk of their own disability, who attacked ESL people who used that same word to refer to the art program named The GIMP, who accuses people who don’t block people fae asks them to block of being “Christofascists” despite them not being Christian, who smeared Brazilian leftists who resisted Jair Bolsonaro as fascists, who fabricated trivially debunked claims of antisemitism to frame a trans woman who writes about anti-colonialism frequently, who condemned a queer person who considered reporting to law enforcement the death threats they received, whose back catalogue includes “African” art and “Oriental” art, and who boasts in faer Mastodon profile about “white guys” such as the founder of Mastodon being “mad” at faer.

The same IFTAS company lionized the work of the man who took issue with my defense of fellow survivors of rape, and promote anti-LGBTQIA+ initiatives under false pretenses.
This is where this story all comes together: the latest company to prop up this clique, lending them institutional legitimacy, giving them the teeth to endanger us. IFTAS Inc (Independent Federated Trust and Safety) is a tax-exempt nonprofit company from New York, that purports to moderate both Mastodon and Bluesky, but is no more than a corporate façade for the clique. After AK-47 Guy made his death threats towards feminazi trans women, IFTAS silently took down their staff page where he appeared. IFTAS promotes the “Trust and Safety” work of someone who lauded the deplatforming of my fellow survivors of rape. However, their primary link to this story is that they employ AK-47 Guy, present on the archived page of the staff under his administrative nickname Guinan on his Tenforward Mastodon server. The page tells us he receives a “monthly stipend”, and the company’s finances make it clear they can afford it. After AK-47 Guy made his death threats towards feminazi trans women, IFTAS silently took down their staff page where he appeared. No word on their blog, no word on their Mastodon account. When someone in your organization fucks up this horribly, you own up to it immediately. You jump in front of the story, you make a big blog post explaining how the hell someone threatening to shoot “feminazi” trans women ended up on your payroll, you condemn what they said, you make it clear they no longer work for you, you reassert your values and your mission, you explain what you are going to learn from the incident, and you explain how you will prevent it from happening again.

AK-47 Guy recorded a 28 minutes attack video on a trans woman who never interacted with him before that. Then asked for €11,500/year in "mutual aid" about it. And IFTAS concealed evidence of their association with him - i come with detailed receipts of everything i say.
An aside about money, before we mention AK-47 Guy’s Drama Youtuber debut, as monetization is ever salient in this story. AK-47 Guy used his feud against a trans woman he never talked to once to ask for money, and to monetize access to his Mastodon gated community. Our AK-47 Guy expects a USD $12,000 yearly stipend (€11,500) of “mutual aid” for haircuts, therapy, and “nice food and drinks”. I guess IFTAS wasn’t generous enough with the monthly paycheck they give him (despite IFTAS having €347,000 in assets). It is no surprise: he previously characterized USD $100,000 (€96,100) a year as the threshold where “upper-middle class” starts. And that’s someone who has a week-long meltdown about a trans woman who talked about her experiences with homelessness—whose posts on the topic were added to her dossier as evidence of her guilt!
