I'm excited to share that last Friday, Jake and I adopted a dog. He's a 7 years old short-haired Anatolian Pyrenees. He's a big boy and we've named him Wade. He's so awesome, my father has decided he's ready for another dog.

It has been a rough week. Jimmy has Lymphoma. He reacted well to medication... and then didn't. His quality of life has diminished so much that we will be saying goodbye in the morning. He had an amazing last couple of years and I am so thankful.

Jimmy isn't doing well... Lymphoma with 4-6 weeks left. He seemed fine yesterday, but today involved another early-morning call from my father because Jimmy couldn't get to the door to get outside. We drove down there but...his quality of life is dropping and it's time to make that call.

It has been an exhausting morning... Jimmy is "O.K." in that he is able to walk again, but he's clearly exhausted and we need to start having a talk about quality of life... That's never easy. He's at the vet getting more tests done, will pick him up later.

Not sure if the proper response to the inevitable, "Having a party?" comment at checkout was, "Yes." "No *confusion*" or "Life is a party!" But at $7/ea clearance, it seemed silly not to stock up...

As MFF fast approaches, I figure it's probably time to tap the sign... Conventions can be chaotic, not all your friends know you're there and we've ALL accidentally forgotten to invite somebody to a party or gathering, it happens!

You know how I know that I'm old? My office changed toilet paper and the new stuff has these wavy perforated cuts between sheets... and I have VERY STRONG OPINIONS about it.

I had VERY low expectations for "Bottoms", the movie, but it was... FANTASTIC. Legitimately laugh-out-loud, funny. Haven't heard of it? There's a reason for that, it would be "cancelled" so fast... Anyway, you can find the trailer, here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vH5N...
