Really impressed with @llamaindex.bsky.social's "Ask AI" feature in their docs - I asked two quite complex questions and it gave me what I needed both times.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that if anyone can create a good "Ask AI", it would be LlamaIndex! But still impressive to do it so well.

Great to be at #lt4all at UNESCO the past couple of days. Lots of discussion around technologies, AI, language community initiatives, data sovereignty, etc. And really encouraging to see the steps many language communities are taking to create technologies for their languages!

I suspect that many people who are against "AI" actually quite happily use speech recognition, machine translation, spam filtering, image detection and many other AI tools.

For some reason this was pretty hilarious to me...

I’m releasing a series of experiment to enhance Retrieval augmented generation using attention scores. colab.research.google.com/drive/1HEUqy... Basic idea is to leverage the internal reading process, as the model goes back and forth to the sources to find information and potential quotes.

Two evenings coding with ChatGPT, and I've gone from never building a mobile app to having a very minimal working proof of concept app.

The app allows you to take a photo of a shelf of books (e.g. you're in a library or a bookshop) and gives you a synopsis and approximate user rating for each book.

ChatGPT with internet access is incredible. If the API ever supports it, it would open to so many possibilities for building AI applications. How would you use it?"

One of my favorite non-work use cases for ChatGPT is asking it to tell a story for our almost-4-year-old daughter. Whatever random things she wants a story about, it plays along and does a great job of coming up with age-appropriate stories that she loves!

Wow, this is like Twitter used to be 15 years ago. No ads, and people just posting pleasant and interesting content.
