This is not a real source. They are using self-reported numbers from “DOGE” which has zero confirmation from anyone outside their cabal. WSJ is at least legit journalism; please refrain from commenting on this topic until you are able to research a complex topic appropriately

Try reading your own link. WSJ notes immediately that the $1B is what “DOGE” says it has found, and that’s only over the past 3 weeks: “it says it has identified and cut more than $1 billion in spending in the first three weeks”

To uncover billions in fraud and waste in United States government agencies, it would take a team of expert forensic accountants more than a few weeks.
They don't have those people on staff. They have hackers, and they haven't had nearly enough time to make those determinations.

It's nearly impossible for INTERNAL fraud within the government due to the way the computers are programmed & approval steps. Any fraudulent expenditures of government 💰 is by PRIVATE CORPORATIONS billing for inferior goods or services or non-delivery.

It’s interesting how there seems to be waste, fraud and abuse only in govt. programs that help the poor or powerless. Apparently there’s no problem with corporate tax loopholes, federal land leases for oil and gas drilling, pharma company pricing, or Pentagon contractors. Nope, no abuse there.🙄
