LAPD has a well-deserved reputation for brutality and incitement. You can look to Watts in 1965, Rodney King in 1991, and George Floyd in 2020. The Protective League will go to extraordinary lengths to shield its officers from accountability and they're held in contempt for lying accordingly.

@jamellebouie.net You were so refreshing in today's four (five?) person opinion piece. Nicholas Kristof is the sort of columnist Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin listen to--that elusive centrist voter that doomed the last campaign. Kristof is the sort of moderate Dr. King warned us about from a jail.

Dear Kyrsten Sinema: Don't lecture Democrats about anything. You were much more concerned about carried interest than anything to do with your constituents. Your zeal to get in the last word belies your betrayal of the very people who elected you. We remember your vote on Lauren McFarren too.

Trump's election in 2024 was all Biden's fault. He helped cause inflation and then when it happened, he acted as though everything was fine. I remember reading of a Hispanic man in Arizona who resented not being able to take his family out to dinner. How did Bidenomics help him?

Bret Stephens is always pissed off. Y'all won. You can stop both-sidering everything to death. You were born into unimaginable wealth and yet you still have an enormous chip on your shoulder. Quit demonizing your political enemies who don't share your reactionary, mean-spirited views.

@repfletcher.bsky.social I had a hard time going to sleep last night thinking about how Elon Musk and his henchmen might interfere with my Social Security. This is an "all hands on deck" moment that seems to be beyond the capabilities of current Democratic leadership even though I admire you.

I'm rejoicing in Mitch McConnell's latest health episodes. He acted in bad faith with Supreme Court nominations and helped usher in the current madness. He and Charles Grassley, the hypocrite of the century, can go to Hell.

In the biographical stories about Brian Thompson it's as though being from Jewell, Iowa, somehow makes him virtuous. He wasn't. He sold $15 million in UnitedHealthcare stock before a Justice Department investigation. The company lost $25 billion in shareholder value afterwards.
