Looking back, it seems like Hank Pym constantly reinventing his hero identity was an early hint of deeper problems. It later evolved into his repeatedly wanting to quit the Avengers, with Wasp persuading him to return. Then his breakdown, then a suicide attempt before he finally started recovering.

Doing the right thing often isn't easy. Not doing the right thing because it's hard is a choice. Arguably a cowardly choice. Arguably a choice that violates their oath to defend the Constitution of the United States from threats foreign and domestic.

Use that information as you like.

I liked the way the movie flipped the script on the Shadow, with Shiwan Khan accusing him of having a white savior complex and appropriating culture, then re-flipped it by portraying Shiwan as poorly attempting to adopt European/American culture. They were like cracked mirrors of each other.

Soundtrack for the X-Men cover: 🎶 "I am the eye in the sky, looking at you. I can read your mind." 🎶

I have that Legion giant-size comic. I remember looking at the cover and thinking Lightning Lad was a nervous flyer: he has the hand the flight ring is on curled up in a fist, like he's afraid the ring will come off. Then I remembered: he got his powers after he accidentally crashed a spaceship.

Regardless of any evidence to the contrary, I choose to believe their energy pistols make the sound "Tuah!" whenever they're fired.

This comes across less as political satire and more as body shaming and fat shaming. I'd like to believe you're better than that.

Why would you do that to a Sarlaac? That's animal abuse. :-)

Exactly so. California would reap a net benefit if they didn't pass on money to the federal government. They produce far more revenue than they receive in services & funds.

Vanguard was kind of interesting. He had a mutant power that reflected attacks back at his attacker. But because his training was so politically based, he needed to cross the hammer & sickle to maximize its effect.

Imagine an American mutant needing a star & stripe to use his power.

He got in by kissing Don's anus, vandalized agencies that were investigating/regulating his businesses, and got out.

He no longer stands to benefit from felching the felon, so he's stopped.

Is anyone surprised he's a cynical user, not a true sycophant believer?

I bought a Tesla back when Musk seemed to be advocating for renewable energy, cleaner transportation, and a better world. Then he went nutzi.

I can't afford to give it away like some celebrities have, or even sell it.

I neither deserve nor will I tolerate the hatred of those who don't know me.

Ironically, "aborted fetus debris" would probably make a better and more qualified Sec. of HHS than RFK, Jr.

Man-Thing isn't really good or bad. He's near-mindless. He's what's left of Ted Sallis, who died in a swamp that is the place the Nexus of All Realities touches Earth.

The guy is shooting at the girl. M-T senses fear, but usually attacks the cause (e.g. the guy) before the source (e.g. the girl).

To me, an anchovy pizza is like Gatorade: it's really appealing when I'm sodium-deprived, and at no other time.

The native populace is startled by the odd alien they've just spotted. The blonde is startled because she thinks the natives don't have asses. The helpful space ranger is using his laser pointer to show her where their asses are, in fact, located.

In the comic, OMAC is trying to shut down an operation that's kidnapping young people for old, rich criminals to have their brains transplanted into. Then they get a new lifespan with a new identity, and "Fancy Freddy" (the crime boss) gets a percentage of their net worth as a commission.

Also gusset, smegma, prepuce, mauve, and guac.

(I have no issue with guacamole, but guac is right out.)

1. Tesla existed b4 Musk, and Musk is victimizing the workers there, too.

2. Most people who bought Teslas did so b4 Musk went nazi & because they wanted clean electric cars.

3. I'd appreciate not getting my Tesla vandalized. Bought it when I still had a job, can't afford to sell it/fix it. Ok?

I literally heard (in my head) the "What's this? Two Boy Wonders?" in the voice of the narrator from the 1960s Batman TV show.

(That's William Dozier, btw, who was also the narrator of Green Hornet and the producer of both shows. He created the first TV shared superhero setting, the "Dozierverse").

We wouldn't know he existed, though. The greatest good deed Kevin Sorbo could do is to never become an actor.

We'd have to *have* a general artificial intelligence before we could get rid of it. And if we had one, it would by definition be a sentient being and "getting rid of it" would be murder, ethically.

No worries: Large Language Models aren't even going in the right direction to lead to GenAI.
