Yesterday at our co-op preschool a kiddo adamantly refused to wash hands on the way in from outside. One of the parents calmly asked “What are you worried will happen?” They were afraid of getting their shirt wet. Then it became less about coercing and more about collaborative problem solving.

At Woodland Park Coop, we play with nature in its many forms. Today we were gifted ice, and the kids knew just what to do with it. Kids slid on, crunched, hammered, collected, melted, and painted ice.
