They dont know why most of us barely use twitter anymore if at all. Its hard enough trying to explain to my offline friends Elon Musk's actions are psychotic despite being "successful", I cant imagine trying to have that same conversation with an English/Japanese language barrier [6/?]

Theyre not as susceptible as we are to ppl feeding their likeness to AI for nefarious purposes because they take their online safety way more seriously than we do and almost every corner of the English internet is being plagued by bots pretending to be ppl in order to push antisocial policy[5/?]

As far as i know, they aren't experiencing mass layoffs while genAI industry heads openly brag on social media about how many ppl they're firing. Their government isnt destroying their social infrastructure on purpose while a miasma factory (read: data center) is built next door[4/?]

Meanwhile in the US, we get ads boasting about companies no longer needing to hire us while our poverty crisis gets more and more extreme. genAI legitimately feels like another weapon in the country's war against its own citizens and Its extremely obvious that the JP community isnt aware. [3/?]

When i went, 1 of the first things i noticed is how much AI is embraced on the media over there. There were entire TV presentations with hosts reacting to silly AI animal vids. Constant ads boasting about AI capability in PCs. A JP homie was even excited to show me stuff he gen'd on his phone [2/?]
