#Poland’s Prime Minister says it was sabotage after an explosive device damaged a section of railway track on a busy rail corridor. There were no injuries. Poland has been a major target of Russian hybrid warfare and sabotage efforts.

#Denmark’s Defense Command is confirming that there were “several incidents” related to drone incursions at a number of military sites overnight. Among them were Jydske Dragoon Regiment barracks in Holstebro and Skrydstrup Air Base in mid-Jutland, where Denmark’s F-35 fleet is based.

#Denmark, already spending historic amounts on defense, announced what Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called a “A paradigm shift in Danish defense policy.” Denmark will now procure long range precision weapons in drones and missiles. Frederiksen “#Russia is a real danger to #NATO.”

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at least seven Russian attack drones violated Polish airspace. One of them appears to have hit a house in Poland. “Therefore, contact wqs made with our allies to formally request to activate Article 4 of the #NATO treaty.” #Poland #Russia

It will be interesting to see what measures the Danish government tables as the reasons for things like high #chocolate and #coffee prices are directly due to climate change and its impacts on global cocoa and coffee bean crops. Both remain at historically high levels, which is driving up prices.

Frederiksen says after some turbulent inflation (due to COVID, Ukraine war, energy crisis, etc) the overall rate “is once again low and stable.” Currently inflation in Denmark is 2.3%. However, despite that she emphasizes that some food prices remain concerningly high. #Denmark

The amazing #Hallgrímskirkja in #Reykjavik, #Iceland. I have been wanting to see this church for a long time and it did not disappoint! Built out of basalt columns as a nod to Iceland’s volcanic landscapes it is one of the tallest buildings in the country.

Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, says a Russian ‘shadow fleet’ ship “performed suspicious maneuvers near a power cable connecting #Poland with #Sweden.” He says the Polish military intervened the ship sailed to a Russian port. A Polish naval vessel is en route to the scene.
