Disabled queer game developer (they/it).

Gravity is an unjustified hierarchy.

I remember us discussing the merits of the 'immersive' FC2 map + GPS on Twitter a few years ago and I still wish that kind of commitment to making an open world mercenary game feel tactile was what caught on rather than ever increasingly large open worlds and sporadic wacky villain monologues.

I'm a big FC2/Shadow Warrior 2 defender but the non looter-shooter AAA FPS scene seems to have dried up as Ubisoft smothered the single player competition in samey Far Cry sequels and spinoffs and the esportsification + monetisation of multiplayer caused campaigns to become vestigial then disappear.

I think it's missing some of the charm of the first game, like Hanzo's cat clock and beating up your friends dad who is a giant frog. It does however add Scampuss which mostly makes up for it.

Sekiro has a pretty tough start but people who haven't built up soulsbornewhatever muscle memory usually have a better time getting to grips with it because you can't brute force it with old habits and fail to learn what Sekiro is trying to teach.

I'm also not convinced but Elon seems to exclusively make decisions for short term gain with no thought to the long term consequences.

What's he done? I had a quick google and found him commenting on other controversies and some people calling him a dickhead in a QI spin-off podcast subreddit but no real specifics.

I've also never had that happen with either the original PS3 version or either PC version but maybe something has gone wrong with OS updates or something in the few years since I last played.

You can absolutely claim a lot of the success, even on the price front as it was your choice to price it accessibly. Even with the bugs you've been fighting it's an incredibly well put together dungeon crawler with functional online co-op which is a niche you accurately targeted and delivered on.

Torch hollows are deceptively dangerous because they look so unthreatening, bonewheels are terrifying to behold and also fuck you up.

The gamefeel is at its worst at the start which is really unfortunate for the demo. The sword + shield is the clunkiest weapon + you don't deal enough damage to one-shot destructible crates yet. Literally right at the end/just after the demo is where you get access to more weapon types and upgrades.

Enclave. I bought the game day 1 and I'm really loving it but I'd love to gift a copy to a friend.

Suffering from success a little, I imagine it's a little upsetting to be unable to focus on FlyKnight right now after its blown up. Hopefully everyone comes across to Sorceress.

Consort Radahn is two guys (at minimum) so it's technically two on one.

Something I really like about the codexes is that a lot of the information is immediately relevant or useful without feeling at all artificial and it also manages to offer great insights into Laen as a character at the same time.

I'm really loving Eternal Strands. The gameplay scratches the Dragon's Dogma itch. I eargerly return to camp to have conversations with everybody and the codex entries are great. Collecting fragments while exploring then Laen compiling the entry in camp so I can slow down and focus on reading helps.

I called it a dogma-like on the Dragon's Dogma subreddit and everyone got mad at me

Looking forward to seeing Aftermath's coverage of it.

I've got cubital tunnel in my left elbow and I've found an elbow compression sleeve helps quite a bit. It doesn't stop the numbness outright but it takes longer to set in, clears up faster and usually doesn't get as bad.

Great article but as a Dragon's Dogma Sicko I feel obligated to point out that while the 'Beloved' system was tweaked in Dark Arisen it was mostly a matter of reducing affinity gain when interacting with shopkeepers so it was less likely to overtake all other NPC interactions. Also DS2 fans are peak

Sony wouldn't see the money from comic sales they only have the film rights (and some kind of contract for the Insomniac games).

Every time I see souls fans talking about how great Midir is I feel like I'm having a stroke.
