leitmotif is a little tune or ditty associated (usually) with a character, in originally scored movies the main characters often each have one that will be played in different tempos or keys depending on the emotion of the scene. Minor keys (for reasons I do not understand) always sound very sad.

I remembered that *someone* had done it before, I guessed Mittens but Kerry makes the same amount of sense. Just no connection to normal people whatsoever.
